Corner-to-corner squares
This is the first square of my next project, which is the baby version of this blanket: You can find a tutorial for the corner-to-corner pattern here for the squares. The edging for the squares and outer border is the classic granny square pattern. Yarn for the adult twin-sized version: 4 skeins of Caron Big Cakes in Shadowberry (no longer available) for the squares, 1 skein of Caron Simply Soft in Black for the square and overall borders (for full, queen, or king-sized beds you will need more yarn and more squares). For the squares you can choose any brand of self-striping yarn of any colorway and any color solids for the borders for the squares and overall blanket. Yarn for the baby version: about 2/3 skein of Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly Big yarn in Pee Wee Prints, about 1/4 to 1/3 skein of Loops & Threads Snuggly Wuggly Big yarn in Soft Yellow for the border.
